The mahout barracks at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam, are part of a charitable pilot project by Byakhya Consulting Group, SAFE Design Studio, and Canboo Team. This initiative provides eco-friendly, flood-resistant shelter for mahouts, addressing the annual flooding from the Brahmaputra River.
